***WBS is co-sanctioning with MHBHA. There will be 4 runs counted for points for the WBS. We will be giving buckles for winners of the D's for the WBS at the end of the Series. The 4 runs will count for WBS and MHBHA. You do not have to be a member of any association to compete. You must run in 3 out of the 4 Open races to be qualified for the Buckles.

Series Awards Rules
1. At the Winalot Barrel Series we have two ways of earning points. Points can be earned by placing 1 through 5 in each of the 4 divisions and by entering each barrel race. Each division has the following possible points available to be awarded depending on times and entries. 1st-10 points, 2nd--8 Points, 3rd-6 points, 4th-4 points, 5th-2 points. Or for each barrel race you enter but do not place in a division you receive 1 point.
2. The highest placing in each division will be awarded points per rider. For example: If you are riding multiple horses and place more than once in a division you will be awarded the highest placing but can not earn points on two or more horses in one division.
3. Each contestant must enter and compete in at least 3 of 4 of the series barrel race to be eligible for the end of series awards.
4. You may enter as many horses as you wish. Points count for all horses entered, but each horse much have entered and competed in at least 3 of 4 to be eligible for the end of series awards. For example: If you were riding two horses but entered 3 or 4 on one and 2 of 4 on the other. At the end of the series if your points placed you 1st in the 1D then the horse you entered 3 of 4 would be eligible. Because you entered enough barrel races to be eligible and you earned the most points. However, if at the end of the series you earned enough points to place you in 2nd in the 2D on a second horse you entered 2 of 4 you would not be eligible for any additional awards. You did not compete on two horses at least 3 of 4 of the series barrel races. So the next qualified rider would move up to place 2nd in the 2D.
5. In the event of a tie in a division. the person that won the most money in that division at least 3 of 4 series races would receive the awards.
6. A horse can be ridden only once per race by one rider. For example: A person can not compete on a horse and then allow another person to compete on the same horse in the same race.
7. Awards will be presented the last day, September 21, 2008, immediately following the completion of the last event. Please be present to receive your awards or have someone pick it up for you.
8. The awards to be presented for each of the 4 divisions OPEN WBS 4D barrel race and YOUTH WBS 4D.
